Packaging Design Spring 2024
The ask for this project was to redesign a classic punk 7 inch record. I chose to work with The Runaways “Neon Angels on the Road to Ruin” & “Queens of Noise”. I wanted to give them a rough, tongue-in-cheek design that matched their punk rock energy and angst. This is a wild contrast from their actual album covers, which tended to only feature glamour shots of the token young women that were hyper-sexualized in the media. My adaptation intentionally features no images of the band, and works to embody the power and aggression of The Runaways’ music. Featuring hand drawn and cut typography.
