Package Redesign
The ask for this project was to redesign a classic punk 7 inch record. I chose to work with The Runaways “Neon Angels on the Road to Ruin” & “Queens of Noise”. I wanted to give them a rough, tongue-in-cheek design that matched their punk rock energy and angst. This is a wild contrast from their actual album covers, which tended to only feature glamour shots of the token young women that were hyper-sexualized in the media. My adaptation intentionally features no images of the band, and works to embody the power and aggression of The Runaways’ music. Featuring hand drawn & cut typography.
